What’s New in SYNC 4?

360-Degree Camera

If your vehicle includes 360-Degree Camera2 ,you’ll see all of the hi-res camera views displayed on the centre touchscreen. These may include a bird’s-eye view, 180-degree front and rear split view, front view3 and rear trailer hitch view.

Connect Wirelessly

Let SYNC 41 take your smart phone experience to a whole new level. Access features through the centre touchscreen or with your voice. And with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can wirelessly and seamlessly access key services on your mobile phone.

Connected Services

When you activate your vehicle’s modem through the FordPass4 App, you can use the App to remotely start / stop5, lock and unlock your vehicle from just about anywhere. Start your Ford remotely and the climate control will pre-condition your cabin to the last known setting.

Cloud-Connected Navigation

Connected Built-In Satellite Navigation6 on SYNC 4 can help keep you informed with real-time traffic information for more advanced route planning; plus, access to additional information such as latest weather updates. Ford offers Connected Built In Satellite Navigation for a period of 1 year, after which time the service may cease to be available or may be subject to a subscription fee.

No more searching through hundreds of printed pages. Access your Digital Owner’s Manual, information on vehicle features and a whole lot more – available through your SYNC 41 touchscreen.

Bring SYNC 4 to life with new wake words. In vehicles with SYNC 41, say “Ok, Ford,” and just tell SYNC 4 to change the cabin temperature, make a call or map out a route.

Hands-Free Calls

Make calls with the push of a button or the sound of your voice. Hear the conversation through your vehicle’s speakers. Once your phone is paired, SYNC 41 can automatically download the contacts saved in your compatible phone.

Hands-Free Music

SYNC 41 gives you voice-activated control of your compatible phone’s music and podcasts so you can stream them through your vehicle’s speakers.

The FordPass App and FordPass Connect modem can only work when both are connected to the telecommunications network. The FordPass Connect modem will only function on the 3G or 4G telecommunications networks. When these networks are no longer available, the modem will stop functioning and the connected services and all data transmission via the modem will cease. Ford cannot guarantee that FordPass will be in fully operating condition at all times and the FordPass App may be unavailable or particular FordPass services interrupted. Ford is not responsible for any limitations or restrictions of the telecommunications network or of your mobile device. Warning: Local laws prohibit some phone functions while driving.
