Every new Ford vehicle includes 12 months of Ford Roadside Assistance from the warranty start date. After the first 12 months, if your vehicle is serviced at one of the recommended service intervals by a participating Ford Dealer, you will receive Ford Roadside Assistance for 12 months from the date of that service. To be eligible, your vehicle must be 7 years old or less when the service is completed. The continuation of the Ford Roadside Assistance program is at the discretion of Ford1.

The Ford Roadside Assistance services are delivered by participating State or Territory Auto Clubs, which may extend extra benefits to eligible customers2.

What are the benefits?

Available to all Ford customers, including retail, fleet and government customers.

  • Q Boost your battery

    If you experience a flat auxiliary battery or need a jump-start, we can provide it under your roadside cover. Plus, if your auxiliary battery fails within 12 months of battery purchase, we’ll replace it at no cost.

  • Q Top up fuel

    If you get caught with an empty tank, Roadside Assistance will provide a top up to help you get to the nearest re-fuelling facility3. Fuel cost may be at the owner’s expense.

  • Q Inflate flat tyres

    In the case of a flat tyre, we’re here to pump them up. And if you have a spare, we can change your flat tyre on the spot. Or if necessary, we can organise a tow for you3.

  • Q Non-collision breakdowns

    Call 13 FORD for non-collision or non-insurance related breakdowns that have disabled your vehicle or made it unsafe to drive.

  • Q Towed away

    If your vehicle can’t be mobilised we’ll tow it to the nearest Ford Dealer3.

  • Q Off road rescue

    Where safe to do so, Roadside Assistance can help remove your bogged vehicle, as long as it’s accessible to a Patrol Service Vehicle3.

     

  • Q We’ll tow your trailer

    If your vehicle breaks down, a tow can be arranged for any caravan, trailer or horse floats attached to the vehicle3.

  • Q Far from home

    If your vehicle breaks down and cannot be repaired on the same day when more than 100km from home, accommodation, alternative transport and vehicle recovery are available to you3.

  • Q How long will I be covered under the Ford National Roadside Assistance program?

    You’re covered for up to 12 months, each time you complete a scheduled service with a participating Ford Dealer, until your vehicle reaches 7 years of age and subject to program availability1.

  • Q How long will it take for my State Auto Club Lifestyle Membership to be created?

    Once we have received all necessary information, the process should take approximately 14 business days.

  • Q My contact details have changed, who should I contact to update these?

    Either your Ford Dealer, or your State or Territory Auto Club can update your contact details for you.

  • Q I’ve moved interstate, can I transfer my Ford National Roadside Assistance to my new state or territory?

    Ford National Roadside Assistance applies nationwide, so you do not need to transfer your coverage if you move interstate.

  • Q What happens if I already have an existing State Auto Club Membership?

    Contact your local Auto Club directly to see what options are available to you regarding your membership.

  • Q Is my Ford used vehicle eligible for Roadside Assistance?

    Your used Ford is covered for up to 12 months after each General Service at a participating Ford Dealer for up to 7 years after its warranty commencement date. Keep in mind that your used Ford’s warranty commenced when it was first registered by its original owner. So, if your Ford was a dealer demo or loan vehicle, the warranty likely commenced when the dealer registered the vehicle which may be some time before you purchased it. Speak to your dealer to determine your Ford’s warranty start date and any remaining Road Assistance coverage.

  • Q How do I know how many months are remaining for Roadside Assistance when I buy a Ford used vehicle?

    Your Ford Dealer can determine the age of your vehicle and the remaining period of Ford Roadside cover. Your used Ford is covered for up to 12 months after each General Service at a participating Ford Dealer, as long as it’s within 7 years of the original warranty start date and subject to program availability1.

  • Q I’ve received a text message from Assist-Aust about Roadside Assistance. Is it legitimate?

    When you purchase a new vehicle or service an eligible vehicle at a participating Ford Dealership, you are entitled to 12 Months Roadside Assistance. In order to process the nomination, Assist requires some personal details. If the Dealer hasn’t provided these on behalf of you, you will receive a text message from Assist-Aust (+61 427 973 298) asking you to provide them with the required details. If you do not provide these details, you may not have access to some of the benefits you are eligible for (including Auto Club Membership2). If you would prefer to update your details over the phone call Ford on 133673 (opt 1 > opt 1 > opt 2) Monday to Friday 8am-8pm to update your details.

  • Disclosures

    The Ford Roadside Assistance program may be modified, suspended or terminated by Ford at any time. Any such termination by Ford will affect only benefit periods commencing after the program’s termination date. Ford Roadside Assistance coverage that begins before the date Ford terminates the program will remain in effect until the end of its original 12-month period.

    These clubs may offer additional benefits to Retail and Blue Business Fleet Customers who have a current membership with the Ford Roadside Assistance Program. Those benefits are provided at the Auto Clubs’ discretion and may change from time to time.
